Be the light in someone's darkness today. Let them, because of you, see the light on the horizon...
“Only in the darkness can you see the stars.”
― Martin Luther King Jr.
Got your summer reading yet?
Let's go to the library and check out a big stack for the beach, for the pool, for the family camping trip, for late summer nights and early summer mornings...
any time you need to be swept away into another time, another era, another place, another world...
Sometimes, when I have the blues or the blahs, or just have a total lack of inspiration, I read...works for me every time!
“There is no friend as loyal as a book.”
― Ernest Hemingway
It's been said that playing in the dirt produces a hormone in the body that brings about health and wellbeing. Though I am not much of a gardener, I could certainly agree that going outside on a warm spring day and planting something does bring about a sense of calm and satisfaction. But for the sake of being perfectly honest, my husband planted the Lantana to the left at my request for the benefit of butterflies to come hopefully! Thanks, honey...
To plant something in the dirt, whether in the ground or in a pot, is exhilarating!!
“In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt.”
― Margaret Atwood
Don't give in to the naysayers around you...stay strong, stay true...
“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
― Eleanor Roosevelt
You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching,
Love like you'll never be hurt,
Sing like there's nobody listening,
And live like it's heaven on earth.”
― William W. Purkey
Whether you are taking a walk, rushing out to grab lunch at work, or sitting on the front porch, you can always find beauty. But you must have your eyes wide open. Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder, but you cannot behold it if your eyes are closed. Open those peepers and see all the world has to give...and then share it!
“Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy.”
― Anne Frank
